Void, or Space-In-Between, is the emptiness that exists between two planes. Void behaves in the universe as a cosmic constant, as firm as the number 1. Very little is truly understand about the Void. Void does not exist within planes and portals to it are almost non-existent. The few cases of Void entering the world usually stem from planar portal practices and rare cosmological occurrences. What is known is the Void's corrupting influences. Void itself has no form. When one comes in contact with it though, it will latch onto the person and feed off their existence. While Void itself is not malignant, the fact that it latches itself stronger onto malicious emotion, namely that of murder, hate, greed and violence, gives it a harsher connotation. After latching itself, the Void will usually empower or violently kill its victims-- due to the fact that Void channels a more raw and ancient force than magic. This effect is what creates beings such as the Void Beasts. There are many claims that the Void has a collective ruler, though complete hear-say. Recent news of this belief is that it's most recent controller, Alakin, was slain and left the Void leaderless and known portals and corrupted areas were expunged.
